The editor we build handles all of this without touching HTML: pasting from Word without dragging in junk formatting, inserting images that are compressed and resized automatically, setting a cover image, assigning categories and tags, scheduling, and previewing exactly what will ship.

Speed is existential for news

News readers arrive from social media, on a phone, usually on mobile data. They do not wait. A slow news site loses most of its readers before the first word appears.

We handle it by rendering most of the site statically, compressing images to WebP at several sizes, and loading no JavaScript library for anything HTML already does. Articles appear almost immediately, including on weak devices.

Advertising is the exception and is worth saying plainly: every ad tag you add slows the page down. We build the fastest possible frame and tell you what each tag costs, so the decision is made on numbers rather than on feel.

The structure that ranks
